By creating an account and using Canvas Cat, you acknowledge and agree that this service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
You are solely responsible for your own Canvas credentials, institutional compliance, course settings, course content, student-facing materials, grades, announcements, communications, API tokens, automations, and any actions taken through your account or within your Canvas environment.
Canvas Cat is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Instructure, Canvas, or your school, college, university, or institution unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree that the owner, developer, operator, and affiliates of Canvas Cat will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, losses, claims, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to:
- changes to courses, assignments, quizzes, discussions, modules, announcements, grades, due dates, settings, enrollments, or content;
- errors, omissions, failed automations, duplicate actions, incorrect outputs, or unintended changes;
- downtime, API failures, third-party outages, authentication failures, data loss, corruption, or access issues;
- institutional policy violations, academic disputes, student complaints, or administrative actions related to your use of the service;
- any reliance on content, feedback, automation results, or generated materials produced through the service.
You agree to use the service at your own risk and to review all outputs, actions, and automations before relying on them in a live academic environment.
You further agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the owner, developer, and operator of Canvas Cat from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of or related to your use of the service, your institution's use of the service through your account, or your violation of any law, policy, or agreement.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not create an account or use the service.
